This track is our dystopian opus, delivering a blistering, multi-part epic that holds a pitch-black mirror up to our chaotic modern world. The band completely shreds through themes of mass paranoia, corporate greed, conspiracy culture, algorithmic addiction and the literal apocalypse, making it one of the most epic uncompromisingly heavy conceptual songs we’ve ever dropped.
The opening verse sets a perfectly eerie, anxious tone, taking aim at how media-driven fear completely paralyzes parts of society. Lines like “manicured lawns on islands of rape, waiting for the ghosts to arrive" perfectly captures how people have become more aware of the ultra rich class evil that exists in the world, and always has… Then, the first chorus hits like a tidal wave, capturing that ultimate existential dread where the world feels completely out of control, begging the question of who is actually driving this chaotic reality.
Finally, as the track reaches its mind-twisting, apocalyptic climax, we ask ourselves “what is the purpose of all human existence if all we’re going to do is destroy everything including ourselves?” It is a jaw-dropping, terrifyingly prophetic finale where warships assemble, the launch codes are sent, and everyone rides off into a mushroom cloud shaped sun set, leaving the listener completely breathless as the outro fades out.
Because all we’re asking is…
“what the fuck is wrong with everyone?”
